About the School

Prior Park College is set in a breathtaking location, overlooking the World Heritage city of Bath. On-site facilities include a large sports centre and fitness centre; astro, cricket and rugby pitches; indoor swimming pool; an extensive Creative faculty with its own Sixth Form Product Design workshop; Sixth Form Centre; Health and Wellbeing Centre; 150 seat theatre; and Our Lady of the Snows Chapel.

The College is a happy community where pastoral care is outstanding. It is an inclusive school with a broad range of expertise, which often suits families with more than one child as the school appeals to students with diverse interests.

The school’s primary aim is to provide a genuine all-round education and whilst academic endeavour remains at the school’s core, all students are encouraged to embrace the many opportunities on offer – acting and singing in first class performances; competing for their team; producing impressive works in art and design; leading Charities work. This schools wants to enable leavers’ to be confident, capable, compassionate and independent-minded young adults.

Prior Park students are encouraged by teachers to believe in themselves, work hard and reach their full potential. Most students go on to study at their first choice institution, these include Oxbridge, Russell Group Universities and medical school.

The three boarding houses are home to 150 full, weekly and flexi boarders. Here, students enjoy the structure and stability that boarding houses offer and the home-from-home environment provided by dedicated staff. All boarders joining the College will be supported, encouraged and very much welcomed.

Staff and Student Quotes

“Boarding life at Prior is happy, vibrant and dynamic. The learning culture during the day is enriched in the evenings and weekends with supervised prep sessions and boarders also have opportunities to get involved in many fun activities throughout the week. Prior Park really is an exceptional environment for boarders to study, play and live.”

Mr. Ben Horan

“As an international student that is far from home, Prior’s boarding was indeed the best thing that could ever happen to me. Everyone here is very supportive. Everyone is so friendly, all the boarding staff are devoted to making the boarding houses a better home for us. To me, this made me feel very warm and settled. Prior is, for sure, a home to me.”
