An independent co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 11 to 18 with a linked junior school
About the School
Rendcomb College is nestled on a 230 acre estate in The Cotswolds; a magnificent, inspirational and safe location in which to live and study. Pupils have the freedom to explore within the safety of the estate but they may also enjoy the towns of Cheltenham and Cirencester which are just 10- 15 minutes away by minibus and offer good shopping, cafés restaurants, cinemas, ten pin bowling, swimming, go-karting, museums, and sailing to name but a few things. Oxford, Bath and Bristol are all within easy reach for day trips.
Rendcomb is famous for its nurturing environment and the welcoming, supportive family ethos. Pupils benefit from a sense of belonging where they are happy allowing them to flourish academically. Pupil numbers allow the school to get to know pupils as individuals, identify their strengths and any weaker areas they may need support with.
Pupils meet with their Tutor every day for 20 minutes and also fall under the care of a Head of Year. These two members of staff are responsible for pupils’ academic progress, ensuring that they are stretched and challenged to reach their full potential, aspiring to be the very best they can be.
Education takes place beyond the classroom, offering pupils a fantastic range of co-curricular activities so they may grow in confidence, develop their independence and leadership skills in an environment where to FAIL is seen to be the First Attempt In Learning.
Historically pupils attain at an excellent standard with leavers destinations in the last two years to Oxford, Durham, Kings College London, UCL, Imperial College London, Cardiff, Bath and Exeter to name but a few.
International numbers are managed carefully and capped at 30%, ensuring the school offers a true British Boarding School experience. No one nationality dominates the school which ensures for excellent integration; there are currently 17 different nationalities studying from all over the world.

Mr. Rob Jones
I really appreciate the teachers and friends at Rendcomb College because they made my Rendcomb life an absolutely wonderful thing. I came here to study English, but there was even more than I expected that I could learn. It was pleasure to challenge myself with new things and the life in Rendcomb has become the most important part of my life.
There are loads of memories I made at Rendcomb; among them I’ll say my boarding life and D of E are the best memories. I was worried about the life in a boarding house at first but I soon realised that everyone was awesome. We had pizza night, sleepovers in common room and shopping to Cheltenham. D of E was also something I had never tried before so it was a completely new thing for me. I had three expeditions to complete which was very tiring, but at the same time I had a good time. My favourite bit of the D of E was volunteering: I taught junior students about Japanese culture and easy words in Japanese.
